Pete Kraft ("we," "us," or "our") operates the WickWatch mobile application ("App"). 1.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account or use the App, we may collect the following information:
- Account Information: Your name and email address when you sign up using Apple, Google, Microsoft, or email authentication
- App Data: Room names, candle names, scents, burn timer settings, and burn history that you create within the App
- Premium Subscription: Subscription status and purchase history (payment processing is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
- Contact Preferences: Email address and phone number if you opt in to email or SMS safety alerts (Premium feature)
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: App usage patterns, features accessed, and interaction data to improve the App experience
- Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens required to deliver push notifications for candle timer alerts
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide and Maintain the App: To operate the App's core features including candle tracking, timers, and room organization
- Send Notifications: To deliver push notifications, email alerts, and SMS alerts related to your candle timers and safety reminders
- Manage Subscriptions: To verify your Premium subscription status and provide access to premium features
- Improve the App: To understand how users interact with the App and make improvements
- Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide technical support
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations
3. Data Storage and Security
Your app data (rooms, candles, burn history) is stored securely on our servers to enable cross-device synchronization and data backup. We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For app distribution and in-app purchase processing. These platforms have their own privacy policies.
- Authentication Providers: Apple, Google, and Microsoft for account sign-in. These providers share limited profile information (name and email) with us upon your authorization.
- Push Notification Services: Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for delivering timer alerts.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our servers within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: You can request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you. You also have the right to request deletion of your personal information and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
9. International Users
If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
